Quartz Heaters

Medium Wavelength Quartz Heater

IQH:™ 25% Savings Is Just The Beginning!

The new Infrared Quartz Heater (IQH™) from Quartz Tubing, Inc. exploits a unique patented design to generate intense heat and respond almost instantly - as fast as halogen elements.

But unlike halogen, which wastes considerable energy as visible light, our medium wavelength quartz heaters emits nearly pure radiant heat. It does the same job as halogen on 25% less energy.

What's Your Hot Button?

Energy savings are just the beginning with IQH™

Lower Purchase Cost

Design profitability into your applications with IQH™ - sells for less than halogen elements!

 Design Flexibility

IQH™ elements can be made in a wide variety of sizes and shapes to fit thousands of applications. No vacuums or gas backfilling, so you can put them to work nearly anywhere.

Environmentally Sound

Less energy waste means "greener" processes and products - increasingly important today.

Longer Service Life

In normal use, our  medium wavelength quartz heaters lasts considerably longer than halogen elements, cutting downtime and replacement cost.

Cut Design and Production Costs

IQH™ powers up with none of halogen's huge current inrush. Forget about attenuation controls - you don't need them.

Increase Your Profits and Competitiveness

Cut your customers' energy bills, downtime, and purchase cost and still earn higher profits on everything you sell using IQH™

Directional Heat

Keep Cool. Take Aim. Directional heating elements put the heat where you want it!

Our medium wavelength quartz heaters feature shielding that deflects radiant energy away from the shielding side of the tube. This creates a "cool side" and is ideal for heating environments where it is undesirable to radiate heat in all directions. This allows OEM's to offer customers more efficient use of limited space. We can manufacture these innovative elements in virtually any size. Two varieties are available:

Gold Vapor Treated

Pure gold is applied to one side of the tube in a patented process. This micro-thin shield is approximately 93% reflective, allowing you to reduce component size, avoid heat dissipation and interference in process, and concentrate useful heat energy.

Ceramic Fiber

A strip of special-composition nonconductive ceramic fiber is inserted into the tube parallel to the resistor for low cost directional heat.

Gold plated directional heating elements are so effective in blocking unwanted radiation that you can hold your hand within a few centimeters of the plated side while intense, full-power heat is emitted in the opposite direction.
